Lola
The first time I set eyes on Lola was when I use to walk dogs at Foal Farm rescue centre in Biggin Hill.
She would not move from the centre of her concrete kennel as she did not want anyone to get close to her. She was found on the streets of South London as a stray. I was told by Foal Farm that she was petrified of men and they asked me if I could pay her some special attention and see if could take her for a walk, because if she could get over this fear of men she would have a much better chance of being re-homed.
Well all I can say is from that moment on Lola and I were inseparable. She took to me and I fell in love with her. Four days after this I drove back to Foal Farm to collect my girl. Lola was coming home with me for good!
She has come a long way since then and I can only guess what possibly happened to her as a street dog. When I first met her she was scared of her own shadow but her confidence has grown since those days.
Lola’s nickname is ‘Party Girl’ as she loves going along to my nephews birthday parties and joining in all the fun with the children.
Lola’s favourite hobby is guarding the house!
